Nutritional Medicine

I like to combine two approaches when treating my clients, nutritional and holistic medicine.

Nutritional Medicine is based on the principle that nutrients, including essential micronutrients, are required for the proper functioning of all the biochemical processes on which our bodies depend. Therefore, when I'm treating symptoms or diseases, I look for the underlying causes which are usually very much tied up with nutritional and environmental factors, this can trigger some genetic conditions. This is in contrast to the tendency in the conventional medical approach to treat symptoms by means of drugs or surgery, mainly being used for acute, short term problems, and not the long term chronic illnesses that are on the rise in our western societies worldwide.

Holisitic Medicine is a form of healing that considers the whole person - body, mind, spirit, and emotions - in the quest for optimal health and wellness. The holistic medicine philosophy believes one can achieve optimal health which is the primary goal of holistic medicine practice, by gaining proper balance in life. I believe that the whole person is made up of interdependent parts and if one part is not working properly, all the other parts will be affected. In this way, if people have imbalances (physical, emotional, or spiritual) in their lives, it can negatively affect their overall health.
